Scott Cartwright is a Photographic Artist from the U.K working with mainly, latent and found photographic images.
"My work deals with the salvation of photographs that have become detached or lost from their owners through unknown circumstances. The photographs themselves are from unprocessed films left or found in old cameras. The main subjects within the photographs are memorable occasions taken within the social environment, the events we all photograph in life to be preserved or remembered. Through re-printing and processing of these films I can "reincarnate" these captured lost memories, or echoes from the past, and make them available for contemplation they would have had without my intervention."
The photographs produced are not taken by the artist but they are discovered and salvaged. They stand as a homage to the subjects within the photographs keeping there existence "alive" in a photographic image.
Scott Cartwright primarily works on self initiated projects but is open to collaboration.
